Job Purpose

To implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Process Safety Management (PSM) system across all sites, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations. The role focuses on preventing process-related incidents, supporting risk assessments, and fostering a strong process safety culture.

Principal Accountabilities

1.Implement and sustain the Process Safety Management (PSM) system

• To ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

2.Lead and support risk assessment activities (HAZOP, LOPA, MOC, PSSR)

• To identify and mitigate process safety risks.

3.Drive process safety culture across departments

• To promote awareness, ownership, and proactive safety behavior.

4.Coordinate incident investigations and root cause analysis (RCA)

? to ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked.

5.Support compliance with national and international safety regulations

? to maintain legal and corporate standards.

6.Facilitate training and awareness programs on process safety

? to build competency across cross-functional teams.

7.Collaborate with operations and engineering teams

? to integrate safety into plant design, modifications, and daily operations.

8.Maintain documentation and data analysis for PSM metrics

? to support audits, reviews, and continuous improvement.

9.Engage with external consultants and auditors for PSM evaluations

? to benchmark and enhance safety systems.

10.Identify and recommend improvements in safety systems and technologies

? to strengthen process safety performance and reliability.

Knowledge

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech. in Chemical / Process Engineering (Mandatory)
• Preferred:oPSM Implementation / CCPS TrainingoFunctional Safety / LOPA / HAZOP Leader Certification
• NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent safety qualification

Work Experience

• 8 to 10 years in chemical/petrochemical/specialty chemical plants
• Minimum 3 years in PSM or process safety-related roles
